How our fixed cost by-law service works

From your first instruction to a registered by-law, in plain steps.

  1. Tell us what you need. Complete the online form — about five minutes. It tells you exactly which documents to attach, and your documents go directly into our secure Microsoft 365 system. There is no payment step.
  2. We confirm. We run our checks and confirm by email, usually the same business day, that we act, the fixed fee, and when the work starts. No retainer arises until we confirm.
  3. Drafting. Over 90% of by-laws are drafted within two business days. You receive the by-law, the motions, the consent form and our covering advice. Ask for any changes — they are included.
  4. The meeting. The motions go on the agenda of the general meeting, and the by-law is adopted by special resolution. The benefiting owner signs the consent.
  5. Registration. We consolidate the by-laws, prepare and arrange signing of the NSW Land Registry Services forms, and lodge electronically. The change must be registered within six months of the general meeting.
  6. Done. You receive the registered dealing and a consolidated set of by-laws in Word with a linked table of contents.

Payment

We complete the work first. Our invoice issues when the work is finished, and the completed work is provided — or, for registrations, lodged — on payment. Nothing is paid in advance and no money is held on account.
